Johanna Rensing

Ph.D. Student, University of Basel

Johanna is a Ph.D. student in the project “Just Parenthood”, working on the normative profile of co-parenting. She is interested in the different forms of co-parenting, and the moral duties and rights which co-parents have among each other. She wants to understand what defines the normative status of co-parenting despite the traditional structures of a heterosexual romantic relationship or marriage between only a man and a woman. As an undergraduate student she studied political philosophy at the University of Zurich and as a graduate student, she stayed at the University of Berlin and focused on analytical, feminist, and political philosophy. During her stay in Berlin, she spent a lot of time studying the normative profile of sexual consent especially in the context of communication and negotiation. Furthermore, she is interested in the ethics of sex, abortion, gender injustice, and misogyny.
